Chicago a cappella is an ensemble of nine professional vocal soloists committed to furthering the art of singing together without instruments. The ensemble combines emotional power and intimacy with musical excellence, and performs innovative programs that appeal to both new and longtime choral enthusiasts. Chicago a cappella aims to speak directly to the human spirit, through repertoire from the ninth to the twenty-first centuries. It serves the Chicago area with a series of live concerts, educates and entertains a wide audience through concerts, recordings, and radio appearances, and promotes and preserves a cappella music.
