Shlomi Shaban is a rock pianist who thrives on stage and loves making a moving connection with the audience. An original artist with a mesmerizing stage presence, Shlomi’s performances receive exceptional praise from audiences and critics alike.

Born in Tel Aviv in 1976, Shlomi was trained from an early age as a classical pianist. He received an artist diploma with the highest honor from the London Royal College, and later played as a soloist with the Israeli Philharmonic, conducted by Zubin Mehtah. In 1998, Shlomi shifted his artistic focus to rock and popular music. His debut album, at age 23, featured his own compositions, and received high acclaim by critics and audiences alike. Many of the songs became radio hits, and won him the major musical awards of the year: “Discovery of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, and “Surprise of the Year” (AMI, Israeli equivalent of Grammy awards).

In recent years, Shlomi has often been invited to take part in special projects, all resulting in great praise for his unique, diverse talent and original approach. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Israeli music, including Rami Fortis, Eran Zur, Assaf Amdursky, and Rea Mochiach.

“Ir” (city), Shlomi’s second album, was very highly acclaimed by the press. “Ir” was considered “undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and moving Israeli albums” (NRG, Maariv newspaper website), it was claimed that the album “touches the heavens” (Walla), and Shlomi Shaban was described as “the most creative, special and sophisticated writers you’ll find on our playlist” (Pnai Plus). Shlomi even won the AKUM Award (Israeli equivalent of the RIAA) for “Writer of the Year”.

In the past year, Shlomi Shaban has had a very successful collaboration with the international singer-songwriter Keren Ann.
