Danny Rodriguez (aka D-Boy) was a Christian Rap artist who was tragically shot October 6, 1990. His lyrics were extremely refreshing to many Christians and his sound was comparable to any hip-hop artist of the time. He was 22 at the time of his death.

Danny was the son of Cookie and Demi who were former addicts and are actively involved in helping teens turn away from gang violence. Genie Rodriquez is Danny's sister who goes by the stage name of M.C. Ge Gee

D-Boy's most popular album was Plantin' a Seed which was released on Februrary 1st, 1990. Subsequently there was Peace to the Poet which was a compilation released in his memory in 1993. All of his albums were released on Frontline Records.
