The Black Hundred is currently a studio-based project from multi-instrumentalist James McGauran (ex-Season/Oneironaut), along with a revolving cast of members and guests performers.

Starting out as a live band, made up of members of bands such as Oneironaut, Season, The Grand Silent System, Clann Zu, Ben Frost's School of Emotional Engineering, and (occasionally) Laura, The Black Hundred quickly earned a reputation for intense live shows and gained a steady following due to the healthy breeding grounds of former bands.

Australian tours, being crowned the Kings of Moomba, and much Absinthe later, members have left to pursue other projects, and the title has been left in McGauran's hands to use as an umbrella for all his future musical projects.

While currently confined to a bedroom studio, The Black Hundred will return as an onstage presence once again in the near future.

The Black Hundred album was recorded at Head Gap studios by Nao Anzai. Mixed by David Carr at Rangemaster. And Mastered by John Ruberto at Crystal Mastering.

Self-Titled album due for release March/April 2010.
