Nihilanth is a one-member British band from the North West of England, started in 2007. All the music is written/composed/performed by Rye AKA "Lord Zuul" (named after the sumerian demigod in Ghostbusters). The music fuses orchestral, industrial, doom, death and black metal, as well as dark ambient.

The name comes from Nihilanth, the final alien creature in Valve's hit game "Half Life" behind the alien attack on humanity. Thematically, computer games and science fiction play a large part in the construction of the music, replete with samples from films and games, given an apocalyptic and misanthropic slant.
