Joyze was born in Maastricht, The Netherlands in 1986.
At the age of 5, she discovered her passion for music when she started singing in a childrens choir. She started in a classical orientated choir, with which she already participated in an international contest. After that the childrens choir was exchanged for a youth choir until she outgrow it.

Because singing gave her so much joy, Joyze started thinking of a career in music. Later on, she sang rock, pop and ballads in a coverband, where she had the chance to work on her stage performance. That has never been a problem for this girl who loved to sing and dance.

She was introduced to manager Ad Schoofs, who immediately believed in her talent. Professional musicians were found and several songs were composed. These compositions were written by Joyze, together with Roeland Ruijsch van Dugteren. They spent a lot of time looking for songs that where ‘completely Joyze’. All songs reflect her personality, very natural and real, and they contain stories of her life. Their style is a mixture of pop, rock and ballads. Together, they have definitely succeeded in creating an own unique style.

A rather new production company ‘21st Century Music’ acknowledged her talent and ambition and enabled her to record her own songs in the summer of 2007. And now, Joyze is more than ready to share them with you.
