Trapper John has spent the last five years building an impressive list of credentials to their name. They were awarded the Clear Channel Musicianship Award for their performance at the 2002 BrewFest held at the Cleveland Tower City Amphitheater. In 2003 & 2004, Trapper John was accepted to the NXNE festival in Toronto, the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati and the Indianapolis Music Conference. They also opened for Def Leppard at the Natiowide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Their first album "West Coast Stereo" has been received very positively by critics and fans. "Stereo" received airplay on Columbus radio stations throughout the fall, including CD101 (101.1 FM), the Blitz (99.7 FM), and the Ohio State radio station, KBUX (91.1 FM). Rob Harvilla of The Other Paper called "Wastoid", the first single off "Stereo", "The best Cars track since 'Just What I Needed'", while Ohio State's daily paper, The Lantern, alls 'Stereo' "Impressive" and "A fun listen." Committed to playing and gigging constantly, Trapper John continues to play local venues such as Little Brother's and Skully's, and have opened for many national acts touring through Columbus.
