St. Louis, Missouri born songstress Eleanor Dubinsky (b. June 18, 1976) writes soulful, sultry and heartfelt songs expressing her passion for a diversity of people and cultures. Drawing from the genres of singer-songwriter, jazz, Latin and world music, she sings in English, French and Spanish, sometimes combining two or more languages in the same song.

Eleanor’s songs take the listener on a personal yet international journey that inspires and soothes the soul. Eleanor is all about honesty, self-expression, sensuality and open-mindedness. Her voice is luminous and grounding.

Eleanor’s first release "Us" launched in May 2009. This four-track EP highlights Eleanor’s vocal talent and her sincerity and features the hit Jeu de Deux, a groovy exploration in French and English of the chemistry game between two lovers. She is currently recording a second EP and a full record to be released within the year.

Based in New York City, Eleanor’s band consists of mature young musicians who embody the melting pot she celebrates in her music. Ben Zwerin (bass) is half French, half American, and is the son of the renowned Paris-based jazz critic, trombonist and bohemian Mike Zwerin. Vita Tanga (guitar) is a French national with roots in Vietnam, India and pretty much everywhere else in South East Asia. Scott Morehouse (drums) is from upstate New York and has embraced the South American culture of his wife, a dancer from Chile. Her band has an easy international flow, linguistically and musically.

Eleanor has a wide range of influences from around the globe, including CéU, Norah Jones, Brazilian Girls, Maria Gadu, Bonnie Raitt, Gillian Welch, William Fitzsimmons, Gal Costa, David Byrne, Buika, Lori Anderson and Sara Tavares.
