the harmonica pocket begins simply as the swinging songs of composer keeth monta apgar. keeth delivers storytelling lyrics accompanied by thick jazz chord progressions and unpredictable changes.

keeth’s songs are brought to life by a rotating musical pop-gang of friends. harmonica pocket songs are as diverse as the players who play on them. along with numerous other musicians, instruments, and sounds, harmonica pocket regulars include:

the harmonica pocket's current release birds falling from the sky -- a collaboration between twenty five musicians and a handful of visual artists -- is an eclectic tally of genre-crossing tunes. from the experimental opening soundscape last night i saw, straight into earth over air, a folk-reggae track spliced with voicemail excerpts; or from the lo-fi record-player blues on bag of never to the beatlesque epic pop song the stars are all out, the harmonica pocket consistently takes musical risks and colors outside the formulaic lines of commercial music. your ears will smile.
