As a guitar holding ambient artist, Tonepoet crafts music for the masses. Prior to being known as Tonepoet, this artist was known as infinite_coil (who released 'Transmit' and 'Soar' under that name) and was 1/2 of the ambient duo Harmony & Decay.

Tonepoet is essentially a touring professional guitarist, and most of what he does is loud, fast, with many notes. All the time. Ambient music is very left field for him, but he's been listening to it for many (20+) years, and has proven to be quite safe dabbling in it. Most compositions are composed and written primarily on guitar, with manipulation of free samples found in various realms across the web. Tonepoet's aim is to create cinematic soundscapes that move harmonically rather than drones; something about hearing movement within structures of sound has always been the goal.
