Toshiki Soejima is a Japanese neo-soul guitarist, composer, and educator known for his smooth, jazz-infused playing style and mellow, emotionally rich compositions. He began playing guitar at age 14 and later founded Soul Guitar Lab, an online music school with over 450 students, focusing on neo-soul guitar techniques.

Soejima’s music blends elements of neo-soul, jazz, lo-fi hip-hop, and instrumental R&B, often centered around expressive guitar lines, soft keys, and laid-back grooves. Much of his work is instrumental, though he frequently collaborates with his wife, Nahokimama, whose vocals and musical contributions add a warm, introspective layer to their shared sound. Together, they explore everyday emotions and quiet moments, turning them into serene, atmospheric pieces.

He has released several solo and collaborative projects, including the EP Life (2021), the joint Tokyo and Moyu EPs with Nahokimama, and the full-length album Scene (2025), which compiles previous works and adds new material. He has also worked with international artists such as edbl, further expanding his reach beyond Japan.

Soejima has gained international attention through streaming platforms and YouTube, where his relaxed live sessions and tutorials have built a loyal following. His music has received airplay abroad and been featured on curated playlists, with recognition from established musicians like Eric Clapton, who listed (https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/guitarists/eric-clapton-meets-toshiki-soejima) him among his favorite contemporary Japanese guitarists.
