Ehret is a pseudonym used by Brian Lang during and after his involvement with the band Millennium Children (aka The Ready) and after his first solo release under the project title “ Thought Language" - "Modus Operandi, Nystagmus”. Ehret started with an acoustic singer song writer style and varies in timbre with each new release.


All songs were designed to fit together as pieces of an album. Each album is meant to have crossover references and recurring melodies, lyrics and storylines hidden inside.


Words Are Not chronicles the soft naivety of a idealistic dreamer. In The Shade the dreamer’s world splits at the poles, and darkens. The first single released, Options, segues from the unified acoustic guitar accompaniment to the piano driven and electronically percussive-centric EP, Chameleon Tongue. The Wizard is a damning introspection of Lang himself, with the darkest tone and message yet.

The latest release, Gleaner, is a winding storyline which revolves around a singular man coming to terms with his deepest fears. Designed as a pseudo concept album, it contains a consistently moving narrative that must be "gleaned" (pun intended) by those listening to it. Read more on Last.fm.
