Born in Goondiwindi, Keith Jamieson has spent most of his life in the bush, which is where he gets most of his inspiration for songwriting. Keith leans towards the bush ballad style of writing and recording, following in the footsteps of our pioneers such as Stan Coster, Slim Dusty, Tony Brooks, Tom Oliver and Joe Daly.

SONGWRITER
Keith has written some classic songs over the years, some of which have been recorded by Slim Dusty, Jeff Brown, Sharon Heaslip, Nathan Charlton, Charmaine Pout, Dave Reynolds, Noel Smith and Bev Branson. One of his most successful songwriting efforts being The Ghost of Three Rivers, which was a huge hit for Jeff Brown and has won awards such as TSA Bush Ballad of the Year 2003 and the Tasmania and New Zealand Songwriting Award Recorded Section 2002. It also made the finals of Mildura 2002, Bungendore 2003 and the 2003 Golden Guitar Awards. Last year Jeff Brown again recorded a Keith Jamieson song, Mate I’m Feelin’ Lucky’ which is the title track of his Toyota Golden Guitar winning album

RECORDING ARTIST
Keith's album Troy's Memory was produced by Lindsay Butler at LBS Studios and has received widespread airplay. The first single One Tree Plain, which was written by Tony McKenna raced up the Australian Country Charts to number six and earned him a finalist spot in the 2003 TIARA Awards. Then came the recording by Keith as a tribute to Barry Thornton and his sidekick Mulga Dan, which he wrote before Bazza passed away and had intended to record with Barry but sadly that wasn't to be. The Ballad of Mulga Dan has recently won the Open Section of the Tasmania & New Zealand Songwriting Awards 2003 and is receiving a lot of airplay right around Australia. Keith also came third in the Recorded section of these awards with Tex, Buddy & Slim. 2005 saw Keith inducted into the Hands of Fame during the Tamworth Music Festival and receiving a TIARA Award for the title track off his latest album A Picture of Australia’

ALBUMS
Keith has four albums available: The Year 2000 Australian Bushman, Troy's Memory, Bush Ballads Forever, A Picture of Australia, also the EP The Ballad Of Mulga Dan. He also has a single available called The Roma Oil Rig Man. Keith is presently working n a new album to be released later in 2005

FUTURE PLANS
