Formed in Portland, OR in the late 1990's, Desert City Soundtrack [Matt Carillo (guitars, vocals), Cory Gray (keys, vocals, trumpet), and Brian Wright (drums)]played a detached style of indie rock that was similar to Built to Spill, Sebadoh, and a variety of other artists pushing the envelope within the realm of indie rock in the new millennium. They issued a few 7" recordings before signing to Deep Elm and releasing Contents of Distraction in 2002. They released their first full-length, the well-received Funeral Car, in 2003 and appeared on a 3-way split with Sounds like Violence and Settlefish the same year. Their second album, Perfect Addition, was released in 2005. Since then, the band has only been scarcely active. Read more on Last.fm.
