Changes Lyrics

So I've tried out all the pick me up's
And I've sipped red whine from a Dixie cup
And I can't change, I can't change

And I need to see thing's I've seen in pictures
Instead of hangin' around the house
Like a mess in the kitchen
I can't change, I can't change

The list of things, I've never done
Just keeps getting longer
I'm tired of trying to put it off until tomorrow
This can't stay the same

Somewhere, there's gotta be something waiting for me
Out there, there's gotta be something more to show me
The list of thing's I've never done
Just keeps getting longer, this has got to change

I'm in the corner of the room like a pile of dust
I've got a voice in my head, screaming
This is enough but I can't change, I can't change

Watching TV is like a kick in the nuts
You've gotta be a brain surgeon or an astronaut
But I can't change, I can't change

The list of things, I've never done
Just keeps getting longer
I'm tired of trying to put it off until tomorrow
This has got to change

Somewhere, there's gotta be something waiting for me
Out there, there's gotta be something more to show me
The list of thing's I've never done
Just keeps getting longer, this has got to change

Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)

Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Somethings got to change)

And I've tried out all the pick me up's
And I've sipped red whine from a Dixie cup
And I can't change, I can't change

This has got to change

Somewhere, there's gotta be something waiting for me
Out there, there's gotta be something more to show me
The list of thing's I've never done
Just keeps getting longer, this has got to change

Some things can't stay the same
(Stay the same)
Some things can't stay the same
(Stay the same)
Some things can't stay the same
(Stay the same)

Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)

Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)

Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same
(Something's gotta change)
Some things can't stay the same

The band was started by Ian Thornley in 2002when he returned to Toronto, Canada, after the breakup of his earlier band, Big Wreck. With the help of Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Thornley signed on to Kroeger's 604 Records. After Ken and Sekou both left Thornley, the band added from "Big Sugar," Eric Paul on drums and Cale Gontier on bass, from the "Three Days Grace" camp.
