Rosavelt is a rock group from Cleveland, Ohio. Their sound is often desribed as garage-rock and alt-country, and they are often compared to acts such as Wilco, The Replacements, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, or an early Rolling Stones. The group's 2004 national debut, "The Story of Gasoline" earned them great critical acclaim, though shortly after the album's release the group disbanded in 2005. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Allen continues to play shows throughout Cleveland and the rest of the country with his band The Guilty Hearts, as a solo act which features several former members of Rosavelt.
