Growing up, Dario Haynes aka Fiyablasta has always loved music of all types, but he grew dear to a genre he says he "got from his dad." Being that his father was a popular local rapper in the past, Fiya decided to become an rap artist as well. His love for all sorts of music made him develop an eclectic style that had an odd mixture of all his influences: Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park, and many others. So during the summer of 2002 he worked on his first album, "In Coming" which was produced mainly by himself and his father featuring singles like "Stun", "About ta Get Paid", and his first song "Dark Knight". After that accomplishment, he set out to work on his second album that was finished in the summer of 2004 called "Guess Who's Back". This album was once again produced by him and his dad creating hits like "Free Subject", "Turn it Up", and "Do I?". Moving onto high school, Fiyablasta noticed that his style is changing as he matured. This change was influenced by his new friendship with another young emcee by the name of Brail of Soultaker Records. Being impressed by Brail's skills, they quickly started helping each other with tracks. During that time, Fiya continued to write in effort to write enough tracks that merit an album. Yet, feeling that never releasing the plethora of content was wasteful he started sorting through the songs for a mixtape. Eventually, he dropped two projects he felt well enough to release in 2009. The free promotional cd being "Not a Pokemon" and the mixtape called "Enter the Dragon" show his growth from his childish content to emcee status. His versatility allowed him to create tracks comedically like in "Delicious", playful in "Bounce", and hard hitting in "A Milli (Fiyablasta Style)" that he likes to dub "A Million Punchlines". This progress has been noticed by some which enabled him to collab with local artists like Brail and Lyric as well as having songs produced by the rising Trakkblazers duo. Fiyablasta released his album, "Guilty Pleasure", and is writing new songs for the next mixtapes, "Red Hot Radio" and "The People's Mixtape". Keep your eyes on the "Top-City Civilian" because he's ready to show the world what Kansas has to offer. So as Fiya would say, "Much luv, Peace! Threes!" Read more on Last.fm.
