Crazy Eyes Lyrics

I'm just a weary soul
I got nowhere to go
Where I can ease my mind
Nowhere can peace I find
I have a troubled mind
Worried all the time
They call me Crazy Eyes
Cause I can't keep from crying

I walked the longest mile
For the darkest while
And it killed my heart
To see my people down
They call me Crazy Eyes
I have a troubled mind
And a cardboard sign
And a jug of wine
But I'll be alright
If I can make it through the night

Say can you spare some change
I'm not the dangerous type
Just a hard-hit friend
With an empty pipe
And when the morning comes
I struggle in the light
But I'll be alright
If I can just get high
Said I'll be alright
If I can just get high

Take a look at my Crazy Eyes
Mama say if I'll be alright
Ooh Ooh Ooh
Take a look at my Crazy Eyes
Mama say if I'll be alright
Hey Hey Hey

I'm just a weary soul
I got nowhere to go
Where I cane ease my mind
Nowhere can peace I find
I have a troubled mind
Worried all the time
They call me Crazy Eyes
Cause I can't keep from crying

Old Crow Medicine Show is a folk/country group from Nashville, Tennessee. Along with original songs, the band performs many pre-World War II blues and folk songs. The style of music they perform is sometimes called alt-country, but today more often referred to as Americana.

They were formally inducted into the Grand Ole Opry at a special ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on September 17, 2013.

Their 2004 album "O.C.M.S." was selected by CMT (Country Music Television) as one of the top-10 bluegrass albums of that year. Their current tour includes bars, festivals, and larger venues. They are best experienced in smaller settings, where their infectious high-energy style electrifies the crowd, often a mixture of older listeners and 20-somethings.

They make frequent guest appearances on A Prairie Home Companion.
