Jesse Rogers aka Talisen was born in Queens New York, and made his way south to Florida at age twenty, his family was very musically oriented in the Bar Band Rock era, but Jesse didn't find his true path to music until later in his life. His ear for something that sounded good was very atuned but it wasn't until he found the African Djembe and Middle Eastern Doumbek which he played for Bellydancers and Drum Circles that he truly made his way into the music world. Teaching and giving performances at major festivals in the state led him to release his instructional CD "Playing Along with Middle Eastern Rhythms". Taking on the role of recording engineer and producer just came natural after that and Bardic Productions was born, an independent label specifically geared to world music and other eclectic sounds. Working and playing with groups such as "The Melbourne Drum Tribe", "Ka-Tet", "The Rhythm Herders", "Earth Drum Tribe", "Raven", "Midnight Caravan" helped to refine his playing style as well as change his way of thinking about the music. He has released a few Solo CD's with the help of some friends, and worked exclusively on the "The Orisha Rhythm Project" and finally has come to settle in quite nicely with "Tribal Soup" which is a mix of traditonal drumming and his latest endeavor moving into Tribal Electronica.
