Dark Side of My Heart Lyrics

All my life I've been searching
For something to fill my heart
For the flame of emotion
Or maybe just the spark
I was lost on an island
In the deep blue sea
But you came, out of nowhere,
To rescue me

When it seemed a long way to go
Your love was there to take me home

If you believe in the darkest hour
It can take you to the higher ground
And if you love somebody
That love won't let you down
I was so blind 'til I met you
I was just about to fall apart
Then you came to me to
Shine your light
On the dark side of my heart

In my world full of shadow
Love was a refugee
But your heart was the homeland
Calling me

When it seemed that
All hope was gone
It was you that helped me carry on

If you believe in the darkest hour
It can take you to the higher ground
And if you love somebody
That love won't let you down
I was so blind 'til I met you
I was just about to fall apart
Then you came to me
To shine your light
On the dark side of my heart

Oh baby
Just in time for me baby
