2) Dave Bryant is an American keyboardist and composer. He is best known for his work with Ornette Coleman's electric group Prime Time starting from the 1990s. Bryant attended Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1982. He has taught at Berklee College of Music and is currently a faculty member of the Longy School of Music. His debut as a leader came with the album The Eternal Hang in 1999. All but one of the nine tracks were composed by Bryant himself between 1986 and 1995. Walter Horn, in his review of the album in Signal to Noise (November/December 1999), writes that "unlike other post-Cecil jazz pianists who have been influenced by classical music, the composer who seems to have made the deepest stamp upon Bryant’s style isn’t anyone like Boulez, Stockhausen, Feldman, Glass, or even Ives.
