Doin' Wrong Lyrics

1 - I've been talked about (doin' wrong)
I've been put out (doin' wrong)
I've been left alone
(Bein' wrong, livin' wrong, doin' wrong)

2 - I've done my time (doin' wrong)
Almost lost my wife (doin' wrong)
I've gotta change
(Bein' wrong, livin' wrong, doin' wrong)

Never jumped on you (doin' wrong)
Never put you through (doin' wrong)
So what you gonna do?
(Bein' wrong, livin' wrong, doin' wrong)

Check me
Mama always told me I would be just like my father
Sneak just like him, creep just like him
Cheat just like him, be just like him
I hated that I put you through
What mama always said I'd do
But I swear I've changed, I'm not the same
So why you wanna put me through, oh

Repeat 1

I may not be the perfect man
But at least I keep it real
Never once denyed or tried to hide
The way I truly feel
You walk around actin' like
Your shit don't stink at all
Now your cover's blow
Don't lie because
I'll tell you what I saw

(Roomin' at the Trump with someone else)
See, I saw you
Cuz I was roomin' there myself, oh oh

Repeat 1
Repeat 2

Ohh, eh

(Roomin' at the Trump with someone else)
With my own two eyes, I saw you there
You know why
(Saw you, cuz I was roomin' there myself)
I wasn't supposed to be there
For some reason, I been, I been

Doin' wrong (good God Almighty, I been)
Doin' wrong (whoa oh, oh)
Doin' wrong (everybody sing with me)
Doin' wrong (oh, doin')

Doin' wrong (good God Almighty, I been)
Doin' wrong (you been doin' wrong too)

Dave Hollister, cousin of music act K-Ci and JoJo, started developing fame as a musician in the early 1990s. Some of his biggest early appearances were with 2Pac on tracks like "Brenda's Got A Baby."

His next big move was when he was signed to Teddy Riley's R&B group BLACKstreet in 1994. He worked with the group on their first album and then left the group to pursue his own solo career. He was signed to DreamWorks Records and began working on an album.

In 1999, Hollister released his first albumm, Ghetto Hymns. The album was successful, going gold, and creating one hit single, "My Favorite Girl." "My Favorite Girl" reached #10 on the R&B charts.

Hollister's follow-up album, Chicago '85... The Movie was released in 2000. The album was an autobiographical work and went gold. "One Woman Man" the album's biggest single, reached #8 on the R&B charts.

For his third effort, Hollister moved to Motown Records. He hoped the new label would instill new energy into his music. The album, Things In the Game Done Changed was released in 2002 and faired poorly on the charts and radio.

As a result of the album's shortcomings, Hollister returned to DreamWorks where he released Real Talk in 2003. Following the album's release, Hollister moved to Gospo Centric.

Hollister is reportedly wrapping up his fifth album in the industry, The Book of David: Vol. 1 The Transition. The album will be coming out on September 26, 2006 from Gospo Centric.
