Don't Think Twice, It's Alright Lyrics

well there ain't no use in saying wonder why babe,
if you don't know by now.
well there ain't no use in saying wonder why babe,
because it will never do some how.
cause when that rooster he crows at the break of dawn,
look out your window honey, i'll be gone.
your the reason i'm traveling home,
but don't think twice 'cause it's alright.

well there ain't no use in calling out my name girl,
like you've never done before.
well there ain't no use in calling out my name girl,
like i hear no more.
yer, well i ain't saying you treated me unkind,
you could've done better, but hell, i don't mind.
you just kind of wasted all my precious time,
but don't think twice 'cause it's alright.

well there ain't no use in turnin' on your light babe,
the silly light i've never owned.
well there ain't no use in turnin' on your light babe,
'cause i'm on the dark side off the road.
still i wish there was something you could do or say,
to try and make me change my mind and stay,
but honey, you never di to much talkin' anyway
but don't think twice 'cause it's alright.

so long, so long, where i'm bound i cannot tell,
good-byes to gooder word, now
so i'm just gunna say fairthy well.
'cause i'm thinking and a' wonderin, as i walk down the road,
i once loved a woman with a child, i'm told.
i gave her my heart, but she wanted my soul,
but don't think twice 'cause it's alright.
yer, don't think twice 'cause it's alright.
yer well, don't think twice 'cause it's alright.

Their tour band includes Ben Franz (bass) and David Ross Macdonald (drums).

The band's 2003 album Up All Night reached the top five of the Australian Albums Chart, it achieved double platinum status and won four ARIA Awards in October. Two further top five albums were issued, Sun Dirt Water in 2007 and Temptation in 2011. The Waifs have three top fifty singles, "London Still" (2002), "Bridal Train" (2004) and "Sun Dirt Water". The band supported Bob Dylan on his 2003 Australian tour and then his 2003 North American tour, including a gig at the Newport Folk Festival.

The Waifs founded the independent label Jarrah Records in July 2002, co-owned with fellow musician John Butler, and their common manager Phil Stevens, which handles their Australian releases.
