Carla Ulbrich is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Clemson, South Carolina
and currently living in New Jersey in the cute little town of Exit 10.

Most of Ulbrich's pieces are of a humorous nature, reflecting on human life. A self-proclaimed ambassador for forgotten song topics, she has written songs about unappreciated elements, such as The Guy Who Changes the Lightbulbs (Changes Everything), Nothing to Say, Prednisone and The Wedgie. Her album Sick Humor deals with her real-life recovery from multiple strokes and kidney failure in 2002. Her song If I Had the Copyright was featured in the documentary F*ck, released November 2006 and directed by Steve Anderson.

As Ulbrich has many parody and novelty songs in her repertoire, she is featured regularly on the Dr. Demento Radio Show and SiriusXM's Laugh USA Channel. She also won Novelty Song of the Year in 2006 at the Just Plain Folks awards for her piece What If Your Butt was Gone.

In late 2015, Carla released her 6th CD, "Totally Average Woman," a collection of entirely humorous songs- half parody, half original. Her book, "How Can you Not Laugh at a Time Like This?," a collection of humorous essays about her experiences as "The Singing Patient," published by Tell Me Press (2011), is available at Amazon.com and a handful of bookstores.
