FLOWN is a Brooklyn, NYcollaboration between Margot Bianca (guitar, vocals), Kate Ryan (drums, vocals), and Caroline Yes (bass, vocals) (x The Assault, The Clearing, Frankie Rose and the Outs) formed in 2011 when the intense need to make heavy music seized the three women after years spent on the road playing together in various musical formations.

Drawing lyrically on themes of death, loss, outer space, natural disaster, emotional realities, the realms of the unconscious and a defiant lust for life, FLOWN fuses heavy riffs and guttural roars with atmospheric drones and ethereal vocal harmonies. With sonic nods to stoner metal, psychedelia, riot grrrl and post-punk, FLOWN synthesizes its influences through the unique voice and perspective of each member to create a sound of harmony and dissonance, thrash and groove, melody and texture. It is, at its most essential, a call to arms for rock and roll.
