往生 Life Awaits is a 4-piece band from Beijing, China. Established in May 2015, having crashed onto the scene with debut EP 'Life Awaits /往生' released in January 31, 2016 encompassing 3 original songs that can be found at BandCamp, right after, ‘Waves’ their first album went public within all music platforms in 2017. Beijing natives Life Awaits are now making a name for themselves internationally, with intense, resonating breakdowns, atmospheric arrangements and soaring melodic injections. Life Awaits is a Metalcore/alt-rock band from China that is renowned for its fierce and ferocious sound. Their music, which combines hardcore punk and metal elements, is distinguished by powerful guitar riffs, pounding drumming, and angry vocals. Life Awaits has been developing a devoted fanbase for their dramatic live performances and potent music as one of the emerging stars of the Chinese metal scene.
The band have been able to establish themselves in the local music scene despite the difficulties faced by metal bands in China. Their live performances are intense, and this intensity is reflected in their music, which has a raw, uncompromising energy. Life Awaits has created a sound that is all their own, drawing inspiration from both traditional metal bands and contemporary metalcore artists.
