And everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

I'll never have to worry
About sitting by the phone
When she gets here
I'll never be alone

She said she'd get here
Sometime today
I know when she gets here
She'll never go away

And everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

Oh, everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby

Everyday Will Be Like a Holiday Lyrics

Everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

Now she's been gone
For such a long time
Ever since she's been gone
She been on my mind

I got a letter today
Just about noon
She said, "Don't worry
I'll be home soon"

And everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

I'll never have to worry
About sitting by the phone
When she gets here
I'll never be alone

She said she'd get here
Sometime today
I know when she gets here
She'll never go away

And everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

Oh, everyday will be like a holiday
When my baby
When my baby comes home

William Bell (born 16 July 1939) is an American soul singer and songwriter. As a performer, he is probably best known for his debut single 1961's "You Don't Miss Your Water" and 1968's top 10 hit in the UK "Private Number", a duet with Judy Clay.

One of the finest of the Stax/Volt soul artists, he was, like Otis Redding, able to tell a story with great sincerity and flawless musicality. His song "You Don't Miss Your Water ('Til Your Well Runs Dry)" is a Memphis masterpiece. Read more on Last.fm.
