Westward The Tide is an American folk-pop band from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Formed in 2012, the band has an honesty and clarity. Made up of six members, the lineup is Jackson Larsen on guitar and vocals, Kaitie Forbes on lead vocals with Megan Larsen providing backup, Cam Brannelly banging around on drums, Bassist Cole Herrmann, and Jordan Towner on Viola.

This crew can deliver their vibrant sound just as well on a front porch as in a recording studio. Lyrics you can relate to, rythms you can tap your feet to; Westward The Tide has all the energy and excitement of youth paired with a mature respect for traditional hums and natural music.

Resisting the urge to assign a genre to a band in its infancy, it’s safe to say only that they are comfortable in the warm pools of indie and folk, but aren’t afraid to dive deeper into rock and lap the shores of alternative.
