Johnny Tonite was formed in 1991 when Randy Ruffner and Pete Moss recorded a studio project titles "The Savage Ones". Greg Baker from New Times in Miami said "Johnny rocks true right, no phony manipulative smoky‑mirrors b.s." Randy and Pete were joined by Rob DiAco on guitar, Clint Lewis on bass and Arthur Ashworth on drums. They band began playing clubs in South Florida in the Fall of 1992. In 1993 JT released a five song cassette titled "Live Tonight". In 1995 the band put out a 13 song CD "Time of Arson". The band broke up shortly before the death of Pete Moss in 1997. In 2005 Randy and Rob along with longtime friend Mike Biscoglio and Raul Villigran and began playing live. Raul left in 2007 to be replaced by clintstarbucks (aka Clint Lewis) and along with Mike Chatham recorded an 8 song CD "Liberty for Sale" released in April of 2007.
