Sok got his start as a DJ in the Bay Area underground hip hop scene in 1997. As a co-founder of the Four Corners Coalition, he began throwing parties and hosting events during high school. After high school he focused his vision for the independent hip hop community, and founded The Collectiv (www.collectiv.com), with the suppport of a small group of friends and family.

After a brief stint in Washington DC, he returned to the Bay Area to release his debut album (Elenchus, 2003), catching the attention of his peers and mentors at home. In 2005 he was listed in the East Bay Express Best of the Bay list as a Readers Choice pick.

Following this release, Sok focused on performing as an MC, DJ, keyboard player and band leader for several years. While touring from California to Asia, Sok continued to record and collaborate with various artists, including Jennifer Johns, Bumbalo, The Napalm Clique, Baba Zumbia (MC Zion of Zion-I), Gift of Gab (Blackalicious) and more.

In 2009 Sok settled down to record his second solo project, EXTENDED PLAY, which was released in 2010.
