Few and Far Between Lyrics

Ever since I met you
Mama said I should forget you
She said you were a waste of my sweet time
I wish I would have listened
Because now I'm sitting here wishin'
I never did believe in your sweet lies
You said you were the king of love
And I would be your queen
How come the good times are so few and far between?

Every night you leave me
I'm telling you it ain't been easy
Sitting here alone 'til 4 AM
If this is love then I don't want it
I'm gonna take this ring and pawn it
I'm walking out on you fast as I can
Ain't you the one who promised me peaches and cream?
How come the good times are so few and far between?

[Chorus:]
Few and far between
The good times that I've seen when I'm with you
Few and far between
And baby I do believe
It's time to pack up all my bags and hit the street
Few and far between

I got to find somebody
Who knows just how to love me
And baby I know for sure that it ain't you
You said you were the king of love
And I would be your queen
How come the good times are so few and far between?

Shannon Curfman (born Fargo, North Dakota, July 31, 1985) is an American blues rock guitarist and singer. She came to prominence in 1999, at the age of 14, with the release of her first album, 'Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions', which she recorded a year earlier in 1998. Even at that time, her deep, robust voice and virtuoso electric guitar playing surprised many listeners, who found it difficult to believe that they were listening to a performer in her teens, rather than her twenties or thirties.

After a prolonged absence from recording, Shannon self-released a five-song EP entitled Take It Like A Man in July of 2006.

A full-length album "Fast Lane Addiction" was released late in 2007, showing her guitar playing, songwriting and vocals have matured yet still retain their power and edge.

Like her contemporary Jonny Lang (b. 1981), Curfman is from North Dakota.
