Fiddle Lyrics

Step into the spotlight
Of this traveling show
Went across the room
Those big blue eyes look in my soul
I was singing fetal love
How was I to know
That boy would change my plans

Louisiana soldiers seem to have it all
As that old red curtain fell
I began to fall
I was packing up my case
He was waiting down the hall
When the real show began

Cause to win my hard strings
And promised me the moon
Played me hard
Until I cried out of tone
Took my song
And he let me worn out in riddle
Played me like a fiddle

Well I should have gone
And taken his bow and his backside
When he went and told me one thing
And then turned around and lied
Well I lost all my dignity
But I sure kept my pride
And he was sure good for song

Cause to win my hard strings
And promised me the moon
Played me hard
Until I cried out of tone
Took my song
And he let me worn out in riddle
Played me like a
Hey

Now ladies you beware
Of those in assuming eyes
He might look so innocent
But it's just a disguise
He's just overcompensating
For a total pack of lies
In his little tiny heart...

Cause to win my hard strings
And promised me the moon
Played me hard
Until I cried out of tone
Took my song
And he let me pissed of in riddle
Played me like a fiddle

Kelley and Kristy are musical counterparts and best friends. The girls had their first serendipitous meeting at a show in Michigan. Kristy describes it as, "The first time I got nervous to follow another artist on stage was after seeing Kelley perform. She doesn't just stand there and hold a microphone, she entertains her audience and puts on a SHOW."

This album is the product of two friends, a guitar and lots of morning coffee. "We came together at what could possibly be the most creative time of our lives. We had both gone through serious, "break up's" if you want to put it that way, and we met as Yin and Yang writers looking for an outlet." Kelley said.

Kelley grew up singing in local venues in Phoenix Arizona, where she used to introduce herself at ten years old, as "Curb recording artist Kelley Shepard!" She say's, "I wanted to BE Leann Rimes, and I knew she was a Curb artist. Look at how crazy life is, I am a walking testament that dreams come true!" Kelley got her first break after sending a tape into the Ellen Degeneres show, where she was noticed by singer, Brian MckNight who began developing her early song writing career.

Kristy is from a small town in Idaho, and started out touring the Northwest and Canada in a group called the Fiddler's Hatchery at four years old. She say's she knew she wanted to be a country singer after watching Garth Brooks play New York on TV. "I saw him coming in on a helicopter, and thought…I could TOTALLY do that!" "I am a ski racer, a horse rider, and a self diagnosed adrenaline junkie. I knew that anything I got myself into had to be very real, and very fun. Bomshel represents that."
