Dan Mostello was born in Ohio, USA. He developed a love for music and the guitar at a young age and began to study with many different teachers. As his playing progressively improved, he became interested in Rock, Blues and Jazz and played lead guitar in numerous bands for over twenty years.
While living in Boston he began to study the classical guitar. However, he never thought of it as a deviation in his musical direction so he continued playing Blues and Jazz.
One night, after watching a band called Strunz and Farah, Dan said 'That's the style of music I want to play.
He started to listen to Spanish guitar players and found a connection again with the classical guitar.
This was the passion Dan had been searching for!
He began composing and recording songs in his studio and has just finished his 10th album, 'Café Barcelona'.
Released in September 2008. Dan's music is a marriage of Spanish and Latin Jazz with Flamenco overtones.
