Pro Brass (own spelling also PRO BRASS) is an Austrian brass ensemble. Created in Upper Austria in 1983 as a result of workshops by a number of committed brass players, Pro Brass combines music from a wide variety of styles in an idiosyncratic and innovative way. The instrumentation with five trumpets, two horns, four trombones and tuba, supported by percussion and keyboard, is a rather unconventional novelty in the brass scene.
