Atom West is an electrifying, up-and-coming dj/producer working in both the Austin/Houston underground and club scenes. Atom ties in influences from his wide-ranging musical background, including rock and electronica, making it into his own exciting "electro-tech" style. Atom's first public musical endeavors began in 1996 playing guitar for a few hard rock bands. In '98 a fellow band member loaned him a Raveolution, a German beat machine, and a Boss sampler, he started performing live p.a. and fell in love with writing techno music. By 2002/2003, Atom was quickly advancing his skills and working with software such as Rebirth2 (Roland drum machines simulation) and CoolEdit while also learning to manipulate turntables. With new, cutting-edge skills at his fingertips, Atom West began aggressively and actively promoting his music with roaring response. By 2007 he was playing venues all over Texas with his own original music and remixes. Currently working with his favorite programs Fruity Loops and Cakewalk Sonar alongside some nasty synth plug-ins and effect generators Atom West continues to push the bounds of the style he created.
