Samy Thiébault (* 1978 in Ivory Coast) is a French jazz musician (tenor saxophone, composition, also flute).

Thiébault initially received traditional musical training at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux before studying jazz at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP). While studying music, he also earned a master's degree in philosophy with honors from the Sorbonne (2001). In 2004 he released his debut album Blues for Nel, followed by Gaya Scienza (2007) and Upanishad Expériences (2010). The 2015 album Feast of Friends was a tribute to the rock band The Doors. On his album Rebirth he worked with trumpeter Avishai Cohen. His album Awé (2021) was named one of the five best jazz productions of the year by Télérama magazine. According to Tom Lord, in the field of jazz he was involved in eleven recording sessions between 2001 and 2019.

In the course of his career Thiébault also took part in recordings by Gilles Le Rest's Free Human Zoo, Jean-Paul Daroux and the Thierry Maillard Big Band. He also wrote and composed music for various dance, theater and film projects and founded his own label Gaya Music. He teaches at the conservatory in Choisy-le-Roi near Paris. Read more on Last.fm.
