Dan Kennedy's involvement in new age music goes back to the 1980s. Originally a classically trained composer and rock drummer, Dan got his start in new age playing evenings of improvised piano music at Oberlin College’s Cat-in-the-Cream Coffeehouse. A commissioned composer, graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and New England Conservatory, Dan has been published by Dorn Publications (ASCAP) and Mt. Pollux Music (ASCAP). His catalog of 85+ compositions is currently held by Mt. Pollux Music (ASCAP). You can hear him on Sirius XM Satellite Radio (“Spa”). Dan’s current release intuition (2012) was produced by gifted producer and engineer Corin Nelsen, a Grammy ™ Award winner. It features: Steve Holley (Paul McCartney, Elton John), drums & percussion, Premik Russell Tubbs (Santana, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga), alto sax, Jeff Haynes (Pat Metheny, Cassandra Wilson), percussion, David Cullen (Grammy ™ Award winner), guitar, Jill Haley, english horn, and Mehuman Jonson, vocals. He lives in an 1860 farmhouse in Amherst, Massachusetts with his wife Rachel and their two children. And oh, yes, a grand piano for good measure.
