Ghost of You and Me Lyrics

What am I supposed to do
With all these blues
Haunting me, everywhere, no matter what I do
Watching the candle flicker out in the evening glow
I cant let go
When will this night be over

I didn't mean to fall in love with you
And baby there's a name for what you put me through
It isn't love, it's robbery
I'm sleeping with the ghost of you and me

Seen a lot of broken hearts go sailing by
Phantom ships, lost at sea
And one of them is mine
Raising my glass, I sing a toast to the midnight sky
I wonder why
The stars don't seem to guide me

I didn't mean to fall in love with you
And baby there's a name for what you put me through
It isn't love, it's robbery
I'm sleeping with the ghost of you and me

The ghost of you and me
When will it set me free
I hear the voices call
Following footsteps down the hall
Trying to save what's left of my heart and soul

Watching the candle flicker out in the evening glow
I can't let go
When will this night be over

I didn't mean to fall in love with you
And baby there's a name for what you put me through
It isn't love, it's robbery
I'm sleeping with the ghost of you and me

I didn't mean to fall in love with you
And baby there's a name for what you put me through
It isn't love, it's robbery
I'm sleeping with the ghost of you and me

BBMak is a pop group that started in London, England in 1999, consisting of Mark Barry, Christian Burns, and Stephen McNally. Together they've sold nearly three million albums worldwide. In the beginning, the band's sound was a mixture of pop rock and soul music. Their first album, 'Sooner or Later'. was released in 2000 and sold over one million copies. BBMak's single "Back Here" was a worldwide hit, reaching #5 on the U.K. Charts, #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and #1 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary Chart.

Follow-up album 'Into Your Head' introduced a "nu-breed" sound, with the 2002 release having more emphasis on harmonies and a more mellow, adult contemporary like style. Single "Out Of My Heart", also known as "Out Of My Heart (Into Your Head)", hit #22 on the Canadian Singles Chart as well as #20 in the U.S. top 40. Sadly, the group found themselves unfairly saddled with the 'boy band' label, despite their positive critical reviews and songwriting skills, and their success soon faded. The guys broke up in 2003, and they've all gotten involved in making solo material. Still, fans have hoped for years for some kind of reunion. In 2018, those dreams were finally realized, as BBMak reformed and uploaded an acoustic performance of "Back Here" on YouTube. The group followed that up with a reunion tour through the UK and the United States. Their first album in 17 years is set to release during the spring of 2019. Read more on Last.fm.
