Elijah Matthews is a Guyanese-American artist, producer and performer from Trenton, NJ. As the youngest of 4, his family always seen him as a hopeful baby with the favored nickname Eli as he got older and became a friend of his community. He professes his sound to be inclined with soul, hustle and real life situations that are both relationship to the familiar and the society he lives in. While relocating many times in his own state, he has met a lotta people who tell a similar tale to his struggle and gives him the knowledge to add to his collection. After high school, Elijah then attended college with intentions to remain with education in his atmosphere but dealt with life changing circumstances that gave him no choice but to take off some time to support his family. After having the opportunities to go to concerts of his favorite artists like 6LACK, JID, Beyoncé and JAY-Z, The Weeknd, and many more, he has finally built the courage to make the craft and talent part of his daily lifestyle. In 2019, he released his first EP called Summer 4 Soul on his birthday to solidify that the time to bring people together in these hard times is now and has grown more mature and aware of his position to bring folks a piece of some delight. As a challenge to making sure his sound was spot on, he has been back and forth with his producer B-Syde Miranda trying to make a soulful tale of melancholy in hope for those who have lost sight of it and need a helping hand to seek their own light.
