Calling Levi is a group of four gifted vocalists based out of Townsend, DE. This full-time, traveling, vocal ministry is a family group of two sisters and their husbands. In 2002, God called these two families to step out in faith as a full-time music ministry. Their music is described as Adult Contemporary Christian / Inspirational & is reaching audiences of all ages. Last year alone the group traveled over 200 days lifting up the name of Christ and pointing others to Him. Their sole desire is to magnify Christ through heartfelt music and testimony. Although they place special importance on excellence in their concerts, their hearts are sincere and their worship genuine.

Calling Levi is one of the most exciting new groups in Christian music today. Their blend of incredible vocals and passionate worship are sure to make a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to experience their music.

In April 2010, Calling Levi released their 6th project, “The Pursuit”. Songwriters for this CD include Mark Lashey, one of the members of Calling Levi, Jason Cox, Anthony Evans, Chad Cates & Michael Boggs, nominated for songwriter of the year at the 2010 Dove Awards. Calling Levi is currently involved in a promotional campaign, delivering singles from “The Pursuit” to radio & other media outlets throughout the country and around the world.

Calling Levi consists of two married couples, Mark and Tammy Lashey and Rob and Stephanie Leight. Tammy and Stephanie are sisters who met Mark and Rob while attending college at Liberty University. Following graduation, the four joined the mission organization, World Help, based in Forest, VA. They sang with MISSION for four years. Rob and Stephanie then spent one year with the Children of the World orphan choir sponsored by World Help. Being involved with this extraordinary ministry gave each of them a deeper desire to reach the lost and point them to Jesus, right here and around the world. The four finished their time at World Help and relocated to Delaware. In July 2002, they set things in motion for their faith, family ministry, Calling Levi. They have toured throughout the country and the world playing in churches, schools and festival stages opening for Jars of Clay, Tenth Avenue North, Nicole C. Mullen, and many others.

From time to time the Lord raises up a group with great talent but also an unusual touch of God on their life. This is what I have found to be true of Calling Levi.
