Alex Post, known as Customary, is an independent hip hop artist from Boise Idaho. He grew up in the church as a pastors child, and got his start with music by being involved in the church at a young age through choir, and drumming in worship bands. He developed a love for hip hop music by growing up in a small town called Chehalis Washington, which was directly between Seattle and Portland, and tuning in to the hip hop radio stations from both major cities. He has now been making music for 11 years, and desires to bring a message of hope, compassion, grace and acceptance to all people. He has experienced the good and the ugly of the church, and hopes to create music that is inviting to people outside of the church, and challenging to people inside the church.
