Dickey Betts & Great Southern was an American rock band formed and led by guitarist Dickey Betts (died 2024) that released their eponymous album in 1977. For the album, the band comprised Dickey Betts (guitars, lead vocals), "Dangerous Dan" Toler (guitars, backing vocals), Tom Broome (keyboards, backing vocals), Ken Tibbets (bass), Jerry Thompson (drums, percussion), and Donnie Sharbono (drums, percussion).

In 1978, the band released "Atlanta's Burning Down". For the album, the line-up was Dickey Betts (guitar, lead vocals), "Dangerous Dan" Toler (guitar), Michael Workman (keyboards, backing vocals), David Goldflies (bass), David Toler (drums, percussion), and Donnie Sharbono (drums, percussion, backing vocals).

In 2002, the band released "The Collectors #1". The line-up was Dickey Betts (guitars, vocals), "Dangerous" Dan Toler (guitar), Kris Jensen (saxophones, flute), Matt Zeiner (backing vocals), Bro. Steve Stoltz (bass), Frank Lombardi (percussion, backing vocals), and Mark Greenberg (drums, percussion).

Subsequent albums included "Instant Live: The Odeon – Cleveland, OH 3/09/04" (2004), "The Official Bootleg" (2007), "Official Bootleg Vol.1" (2021).

Forrest Richard "Dickey" Betts (born December 12, 1943 in West Palm Beach, Florida) was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, remembered for his work as a founding member of the southern blues/rock group The Allman Brothers Band.
