Heartbeat Lyrics

Nashville, it's burnin' tonight
You turn me right 'round, baby, like a 45
I'm feelin' every song that this town could write
Oh, the fire in my head
And the drummer in my chest
Just take one look in my eyes
And they will confess

That you
Got me feelin' so high
(Yeah yeah)
And you
Are the rhythm of my life, my life

I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me
The heat, heat, heat, got me feelin' like I believe
All the things, baby, that we could be
I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me
Beating right next to me
Beating right next to me

I feel your heartbeat
I feel your heartbeat
I feel your heartbeat
Heartbeat, your heartbeat

Ain't bringin' you no games
Ain't learnin' on no cliche
If you're sharin' my bed, then baby, you share my name

'Cause you
Got me feelin' so high
(Yeah yeah)
And you
Are the rhythm of my life, my life

I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me
The heat, heat, heat, got me feelin' like I believe
All the things, baby, that we could be
I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me
Beating right next to me
Beating right next to me

I feel your heartbeat
I feel your heartbeat
I feel your heartbeat
Heartbeat, your heartbeat

(Yeah yeah)

I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me
The heat, heat, heat, got me feelin' like I believe
All the things, baby, that we could be
I feel your heartbeat, beat, beat, beating right next to me

I feel your heartbeat
I feel your heartbeat (I feel it)
I feel your heartbeat
Heartbeat, your heartbeat

I feel your heartbeat (Over my head, in the drum of my chest)
I feel your heartbeat (I feel it, I feel it, I feel it, baby)
I feel your heartbeat
Heartbeat, your heartbeat

(Yeah yeah)

Kearney has stated that his legal name is Mathew due to a nurse's error on his birth certificate. He discovered the error while in the 8th grade when he noticed how his mom corrected the error with red ink, never legally correcting it. Since then, he embraced the one T in his legal name.
