The Bernd Brothers are jazz fusion duo Stephen Bernd (guitar) and Bill Bernd (bass). They play a blend of instrumental jazz, funk and rock. Some of their song titles and album art are inspired by Hare Krishna, such as Permanent Solution, which refers to escaping the cycle of death and rebirth, and Heavenly Melody, which is based on a Krishna mantra.
