Northern Lite is an electronic music band from Erfurt, Germany, known for blending electropop, techno, and rock elements in their sound. The group was formed in 1997 by vocalist Andreas Kubat and producer/keyboardist Sebastian Bohn (also known as DJ Boon). Over the years, the lineup has included several guitarists, with Frithjof Rödel (Ringo Fire) joining the band in 2006.

The band's early music was influenced by techno and electronic sounds, but the addition of guitarists such as Larry Lowe (2001–2004) introduced a more rock-oriented style. This fusion of genres has become a hallmark of Northern Lite's music, often described as Neo Pop, a term used for modern electronic pop music.

Northern Lite gained recognition through energetic live performances in clubs across Germany and internationally, including appearances in Spain, England, and Japan. In 2005, the band received the Dance Music Award for Best Indie/Electronic Artist.

In 2007, Northern Lite represented the German state of Thuringia at the Bundesvision Song Contest with the track Enemy, performed in collaboration with Chapeau Claque. This song marked a rare instance of the band releasing a German-language track, specifically adapted for the contest, where they finished in sixth place.
