Award-winning singer/songwriter, Alisa Xayalith (24/08/1986), is an open book who creates well-produced cinematic, indie-electro-pop with beautiful vulnerability. Best known as frontwoman for The Naked and Famous, the Aotearoa/NZ-born, LA-based artist, is stepping into the spotlight, solo. With lots of new music and an upcoming EP, this is an exciting new chapter for Xayalith. Collaborations include NZ-born, LA-based writer/producer Simon Oscroft [Frills, Olivia Rodrigo, The Aces], writer/producer Jason Suwito [Sir Sly] and writer/producer Tyler Spry [Bad Bunny, D4VD, OneRepublic]. Xayalith’s influences include friends, family, and her life journey. Born to refugee parents, Xayalith is one of five children. She says that losing her mother at just seven years old, is something that has had an immense impact on her as a human being. Music is her escape. At thirteen, she learnt to play guitar and write her own songs. The decision to pursue music as a career started when she enrolled in music school, which is where The Naked and Famous’ story began in 2007. Now, in 2025, we get to experience Xayalith's solo story.
