Hiroshima mon amour Lyrics

It was newborn and ten feet tall,
But they called it little boy,
And C7, H5, O6, N3 they called him
T-N-T.

The fireball would dim the sun,
Promising death in its cruelest form.

Hiroshima Mon Amour
As we beg to be forgiven do you spit,
In our face and curse us all.

The fireball that shamed the sun,
Burning the shadows on the ground,
As the rain falls to dry the land,
Leaving desert for the thirsty man.

They all said it would end the war,
And we thanked Christ for the bomb,
And the priests and witches all agreed,
They should die to keep them free.

The fireball that shamed the sun,
Burning the shadows on the ground,
As the rain falls to dry the land,
Leaving the desert for the thirsty man.

HIROSHIMA!

Alcatrazz was a heavy metal band formed in 1983 in Los Angeles by Graham Bonnet.

The band's initial line-up consited of Graham Bonnet (vocals - ex-Rainbow / Michael Schenker Group), Yngwie Malmsteen (guitar - ex-Steeler), Gary Shea (bass - ex-New England), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards - also ex-New England) and Jan Uvena (drums - ex-Alice Cooper / Pointer Sisters).

After recording the first two albums musical differences surfaced, and Yngwie Malmsteen quit in 1985. Against the wishes of the band's management, he was replaced by Steve Vai who also left after recording the album Disturbing The Peace. The band brought in Danny Johnson to replace him, and recorded the album Dangerous Games before finally breaking up in 1987.

Graham Bonnett described their sound as "The thinking man's heavy metal".

Bonnet also appeared on Impelleteri's 1987 "Stand In Line" album.

Their most famous song is God Blessed Video, a somewhat comic song which makes fun of MTV. It can be heard on the fictional radio station V-Rock in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
