I Found Love (feat. Zelma Davis) Lyrics

Do you wanna get funky with me?

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock to the beat, yeah
Rock to the beat, rock

My mama used to tell me
She said love is a crazy thing
It comes when you not looking, oh
(Yes it does, yes it does)
And then it tries to knock you off your feet

Now, I? ve known you forever
And I can truly say, hey baby
That I never ever ever felt that you
Would bring love my way

'Cause I found love
(I found love right in front of me)
I found love
(I found love waiting patiently)
And I know this love
('Cause I know this love was supposed to be)
? Cause I feel it, yes I feel it all over me
(I feel it, I feel it)

This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright
This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright

This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright
This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright

It? s funny how you never
You never know which way that love will go
Sometimes it comes so quickly
(Yes it does, yes it does)
And other times it creeps up nice and slow

So, here we are together
And I? m feeling fine, oh baby
I feel like I? m in heaven
Like I can touch the sky, hey baby

But I found love
(I found love right in front of me)
I found love
(I found love waiting patiently)
And I know this love
(See I know this love was supposed to be)
'Cause I feel it, yes I feel it all over me
(I feel it, I feel it)

This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright
This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright

This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright
This is your night tonight
Everything? s gonna be alright

Now I know I can? t explain it
I know I can? t contain it
Always, I just kinda knew it
That love has finally come my way

Oh yeah
Oh baby, I found love

I found love
(I found love right in front of me)
I found love
(I found love waiting patiently)
And I know this love
(See I know this love was supposed to be)
'Cause I feel it, yes I feel it all over me
(I feel it, I feel it)

I found love
(I found love right in front of me)
I found love
(I found love waiting patiently)
And I know this love
(See I know this love was supposed to be)
'Cause I feel it, I feel it, ooh yeah
(I feel it, I feel it)

I found love, ooh
I found love, baby
Right in front of me
It feels so good, baby
Feels so right

That I found love, oh baby
I found love, love, baby
I found your love, yeah
So my baby

C+C Music Factory was a dance music group (led by Robert Clivilles and David Cole) that brought a hybrid form of house music to America's heartland, scoring several massive pop hits there and all over the world during the early 1990's. Their 1990 debut album, Gonna Make You Sweat included four hugely popular singles, the most famous of them being "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)." Subsequent releases such as "Here We Go, Let's Rock & Roll" and "Things That Make You Go Hmmmm...." confirmed them as dance music's most successful act of the day.

Their sophomore release, Anything Goes, failed to match the mainstream success of its predecessor although it did produce a #1 on the Club Chart, "Do You Wanna Get Funky." The group disbanded in 1994 when David Cole died of complications from spinal meningitis.

Clivillés and Cole had recorded dance music under other names, and had showcased different vocalists prior to starting their C+C Music Factory project. Their production work for the group Seduction is the most well-known of these earlier endeavours. After the huge success of their debut, they became highly sought after producers and worked with Mariah Carey, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, Whitney Houston, and James Brown amongst others.
