Cyborg9k is an alternative rock and Epunk project and is an alias of Ethan Skylar Willis, who is from Nashville, Tennessee, USA, was born in 1998, and originally started making music under the alias of Roxie Cola. He originally did not intend to make Epunk music but was instead brought into the community via misinterpretation of his lyrics.

His first release as Cyborg9k was Clown World/Skipping Frames (BETAS); released January 18, 2021, Skipping Frames was originally a Roxie Cola song. The debut Cyborg9k EP was Blank Cartridge, released June 22, 2021, the debut Cyborg9k album was I feel ok (so I guess that means I'm fine), released July 15, 2021. The second Cyborg9k was Cyborg9k, released May 15, 2022. In 2022, Skylar began dating Epunk artist GEZEBELLE GABURGABLY (Gisele Gurney), who was also trying to distance herself from the Epunk scene.

In 2023, Cyborg9k began publicly dissenting from the Epunk scene, and announced his new project, Huachuca Aerostat, as a way of distancing himself from the community, he released one album under Huachuca Aerostat but decided to instead come back to the Cyborg9k name while still publicly dissenting from the community, in September 2023, Skylar and Gisele broke up, the third Cyborg9k album was Days Become Years, released August 29, 2024, this album contains multiple songs in opposition to the Epunk scene, Don't Let It Go stands out as it directly talks about the scene, on October 21, 2024, the collaboration EP with Full Blown Meltdown and The Acid Flashback at Nightmare Beach, For Once in My Life, was released, the fourth Cyborg9k album What Did You Expect? released March 1, 2024, this album once again opposes the Epunk community, although less directly than Days Become Years, the songs that is not opposing the Epunk community, Accessory, is about Gisele and Skylar's relationship.
