Illusion Lyrics

My neighbours keep gettin mugged so we sleep with the alarm on
Bedroom filled with Mricro-SD's and Comme Des Garcons
Staring at the ceiling listening to So Far Gone
Tryna make the world pay me pay me daily like carson
My mom say I need to put on weight like Kelly Clarkson
She say I work like a soldier steady marchin'
Left right, left right, left right, left right
Tryna keep it smelling like Elizabeth Arden, ahh
Apartments, yard river garden
Money in the jeans, car key in the cardigan
When i was a kid I wished that I could be in Narnia
Every time my father disregarded an argument, ahh
Wishin I was sitting on the moon, watching videos
Wishin I was living on the shoot, with dishonest youths
Doing things I didn't wanna do
Wishin I could see the world through a different point of view

Leave your baggage at the stairs and your worries at the door
You don't have to think about problems anymore
(I can make you, believe in anything)
Uh, I know that everything's changed
But i'm under this illusion just so I don't go insane
(I can make you, believe in anything)

Uh, you eva been too fed up to get up
Or wish you had a huge shredder for a few letters
Dreaming up these stories of these whole new adventures
Like new Louis Vuittons on the new Cinderella
Check your sense of humour on the new rumours getting bent
Around me teaching you a lesson
And I don't mean a lecture
Cause only fake [rich, rich] dudes get jealous
And we'll never let a [ricj, rich] dude get near us
Cause we're up with the stars, somewhere in outer space
Cause on the underground I felt so out of place
I got Tom, Dick and Harry all lookin' at my face
I know they wanna say safe but don't know how to say it
Bad body language, I don't understand it
When they see Patrick then they all turn to gangsters
hehe, And that's a passage from my mantra
I started reading from a whole different chapter

Leave your baggage at the stairs and your worries at the door
You don't have to think about problems anymore
(I can make you, believe in anything)
Uh, I know that everything's changed
But i'm under this illusion just so I don't go insane
(I can make you, believe in anything)

I can make you
i can make you
i can make you
believe in anything

I can make you
i can make you
i can make you
believe in anything

Patrick Junior C. Okogwu (born November 7th, 1988 in Plumstead, South London), better known by his stage name Tinie Tempah, is a BRIT Award-winning rapper, MC and CEO of Disturbing London Records. Tinie gained national acclaim and chart success upon the release of his major label debut single Pass Out which debuted at #1 on the UK Singles Chart in March 2010.

According to the Pass Out Songfacts, Okogwu came up with his stage name at the age of 13. He looked up 'anger' in the thesaurus and found himself staring at 'temper.' Concerned it might be overly aggresive he added 'Tinie.'

Tinie Tempah first gained recognition in the underground music scene with the track Wifey, taken from his first official mixtape Hood Econ%mics Room 147: The 80 Minute Course. Upon it's release, the track became an instant smash, holding the Channel U urban chart top spot for 10 consecutive weeks. Established artists within the Grime scene including Bashy and Chipmunk featured on the mixtape. In 2009 Tinie Tempah released his second official mixtape Sexy Beast: Volume 1.

In October 2009 Tinie Tempah announced a record deal with EMI/Parlophone. He released his debut album on the label, disc-overy, on October 4th 2010. The album spawned six consecutive top 20 singles in the UK including number ones pass out and written in the stars, and swedish house mafia collaborative single miami 2 ibiza.

disc-overy is due for release in the US on May 17th 2011. The tracklist for the album features new collaborations with wiz khalifa, bei maejor and ester dean. It was preceded by written in the stars as it's lead single, which has thus far peaked at 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Read more on Last.fm.
